Natesha Kauthvam | Bharatanatyam Dance
Показать описание
Natesha Kautuvam, Bharatanatyam invocation dance choreographed by Vaibhav Arekar, Hamsadhwani raga, Chatushra Eka talam. Sachhidanand Narayankar and Sonam Vora present traditional Natesha Kautuvam in praise of Lord Shiva who is also worshiped as Nataraja, the god of dance. Their crisp movements and graceful poses describe the form and iconography of Lord Shiva as the one who is worshipped by sages and asuras or demons; and who dances the Tandava with bells on his feet, holding the Damaru in one hand, wears tiger skin, holds the Trishula or Trident, has Nandi the Bull as his vahana, and has the sun and moon as his ornaments. The dancers perform to invigorating Kautuvam music where chollukattus (rhythmic syllables) are intertwined with the lyrics of the song.
The music is by Arun Gopinatha (vocal), Dakshinamurti K (Mridangam), B Anantaraman (Violin), Hema (Flute) and the Nattuvangam is by Kalishwaran K.
