As a Blazers fan I thank Jrue for his many contributions to our team!

Damn, I'm gonna miss Rob Williams. Love that we are getting Jrue. Finally have a true point guard. But Rob was such a joy to watch play.

Man, Jason — even by your elite standard, this trade and playoff implications analysis is brilliant. Esp that part at the end about how, ironically, the Bucks are best equipped to beat Denver. But they’ll struggle to get there bc Celtics are now designed to beat the Bucks! And great tidbit about Jrue owning Dame before in the playoffs. I’d say in about 24 hours, others will be foisting that off as their own insight. 😉

I really hope Jason gets more flowers this season. Guy is literally a university basketball top tier professor. Damn this guy is sharp.

I’m going to miss Jrue but I’m happy he also has a chance to compete. Dude will bring the defensive identity back to Boston for sure. He’s that guy for them. A humble locker room changer like Jrue is a great pickup for the Celtics. Especially since they have 2 great scorers already, he can lean into his own identity even further, where in Milwaukee he was sometimes asked to do a little more. Let him cook and we will see y’all in the ECF

In your last video you talked about how Holiday wasnt a good pick n roll passer. Now magically 2 days later he's a pick n roll beast and precision passer 😂 don't just tell people what they wanna hear. Keep it 100

Ain't all on Tatum, Brown's gotta get some more of the pie too. They're both growing, every year, and Jrue will help in ways that aren't all analytics. His presence, cadence, awareness, leadership, hoop IQ, team play, and definitely defense will all add X-Factor to this team. Synergy helps everyone.

Holiday will be the best defensive player on the floor on any team but when his shot goes cold it seems to happen at crucial ass times .

This is a great get for both teams. Celtics get a replacement and improvement over Marcus Smart, and the Blazers low key got a great young squad and lots of picks.

I love the Jrue pick but damn... I really loved Rob. Williams 💔

This helps tremendously. They needed a true point guard

Celtics must have justified this by thinking about Williams injury history. But definitely a hit to their depth a little bit. They basically lost four rotational guys this year and replace them with two All Stars but only two....

I like how the C’s are looking. Im gonna miss both williams and brogdon but i think its a good trade. Im still excited about drafting jordan walsh too obviously way too early to tell but he looks like he has a ton of potential

I think this move is what the Celtics needed. Bringing in a veteran with championship experience to a team that had none is huge, and on top of that the veteran player we’re talking about it Jrue freaking Holiday, an all-star/all-defensive player who gives the Celtics way better playmaking/ball handling than they had going into the season. While Tatum has been improving with his on-ball skills, he is still very elite off the ball.

Also, for the Miami Heat offseason…yikes

Damn now Boston can compete with bucks this is insane

This is such a great great great podcast. Like this story line needs to continue to see what Dame makes of it

What he said about the matchups towards the end is probably the best NBA analogy/ analysis I have heard all summer. But I'm still not picking the Celtics to win anything until their 2 main guys stop choking when it matters most.
