That's amazing. In my view this is the ONLY sensible way for how electric car infrastructure should work.

This will have massive benefits when it hits the rest of the world, such as not having to fear your own car battery's performance decreasing over time, you could recharge instantly (compared to super chargers). Faulty batteries would be dealt with by the national infrastructure, not the individual car owners etc.

Was in Hainan last year. The roads were much quieter than usual be cause more than 60% of cars and almost 100% of bikes were electric. Makes the people talking appear even louder 😂

I was recently in Dong Bei and was suprised how many nice and new Didi taxis were using this tech. One driver told me they get a great lease rate for buying the battery-less vehicle and only pay for the Kilometers they use on each charge. I believe the one you were is a nice Red Flag (红旗) Hongqi QM5
