The Lab NYC is BULLDOG Gin and Mixmag's weekly live stream and post-work unwind, where we showcase the finest DJs direct from our Brooklyn office. On Friday, February 7, we'll be welcoming former cover-star Charlotte de Witte for a KNTXT takeover.

In November, Belgian artist Charlotte de Witte was described as a 'force of nature' when she graced our cover for the first time and it's easy to see why. Over the last few years, the techno DJ and producer has gone from strength-to-strength, playing all over the globe at the world's biggest clubs and largest festivals. To put it simply, she's become one of the most popular artists on the planet.

Her unapologetic, visceral approach to techno has won her fans all over the world and last year she launched her label, KNTXT, which she dropped two EPs via alongside a release from Chris Liebing.

Honestly watching the older fella dancing without a care made this set 100x better. I could feel his energy through the screen. I want to be like him in the years to come 🤟🏼

I'm turning 50 in a few days. I still do sets.
Mostly Techno / DarkTech. I was a part of the scene in europe ever since Liaisons Dangereuses popped out Los Ninos del Parque in, I think, 1982.
The 1990's were hard in Europe, so many raves, so many festivals, even the Maydays... Don't really know how I made it through alive.
I really love the sound of todays Techno -it really evolved into some "right in the face" stuff.
Today, my daughter is 18 and loves to listen to daddy's sets.
Can't really say I'd see where I did something wrong.
No regrets.

Rave on my friends.

I'm 62 and saw Charlotte in Detroit last Fall. She was amazing and made the hairs on my arms dance. I moved like the old guy too!! Life's too short not to feel the music.

Loving the older guy at the front of the crowd showing the youngsters how to enjoy yourself :) :)

I think the "old" guy is giving Charlotte a much more deserved response to her music than the intimidated boring rest of the crowd.. You can even see how she is happily smiling at him, seeing he feels the music.

Right now, her mixes are the only music genre I’m listening to and I listen to absolutely every genre going. She’s transporting me back to a time lost during my youth… she’s fookin insane

The "old guy" people are commenting about, he's a regular in NYC techno clubs, you can find him on Danny Tenaglia show too on youtube, lol. He's not that old, he's not more than 55. So to a guy in his early 40s and knowing how long the really good club Techno has been around in a mecca scene city like NYC, its not odd for his age to be there, But maybe a good example to the younger generation about if you're gonna drop candy and drink alcohol regularly, especially alcohol, then you might mix in some exercise and nutrition along the way, or you can count on people calling you "old man/lady in front row" someday too. :-) the good news is you know that you dont lose the desire to bust a move as you get older obviously haha
