MoP will always have a special place in my heart. I bought it after a truly horrible year during which I almost lost my oldest son at age 12. After 9 days in a coma and spending 6 months in various hospitals, he pulled through and came home again. I bought MoP for him, and this game have brought us closer again after so many ups and downs these past 5 years. The game itself but especially the music of this expansion have pulled him out of the dark place he ended up in after returning home. Realizing that you almost died but managed to pull through, fucks your mind up, especially this young!
He is now 18, healthy, and the 3 of us are still enjoying WoW. We will forever be grateful for WoW, and their composers. Music helps us heal: I have witnessed and experienced this.
So, thank you, WoW. And thank you to all the EU players, because without even realizing it you have kept us alive and sane. Much love to the community! LOKTAR O'GAR!!

**Update May 1st 2020**:
OMG, you guys!! I never ever got any notification about my post until today, and I'm overwhelmed and proud of all of your heartwarming reactions. Yes, we are all still fine, and hopefully you all as well. My son is now 21, and he and his 20-yo brother have been playing WoW again since early March after we all stopped playing at the end of Legion. And yes, they have characters on both sides. His health is well enough for any YA who seemingly only have to live on chips and soda, with the occasional cookie to balance that special diet.
Thank you all for the love you have shown us, he was, and still is, touched by the love of our community, as are the rest of us. LOVE YOU ALL! BE & STAY HEALTHY!!!!

This expansion literally changed my life. Crazy as it sounds. It set me down the path of martial arts in real life and I am progressing to this day :)

To everyone hating on this expansion.
Just a week ago, the whole wow reddit voted for the best wow expansion with over 30k votes, MoP got 22, 8% of the votes as the best expansion. So complain all you want, MoP is and will always be such an amazing expansion, almost 1 out of every 4 people agree with us. :)

Remember when everyone just trashed this expansion out of hate?
Now everybody is nostalgic about it...

The quality of Blizzard's OSTs are truly spectacular.

When saving Pandas has a darker undertone than defeating the Burning Legion.

I will die on this opinion. Mop and Wod was when Blizzard was at a creative peak with the warcraft franchise. Wod may cause arguments due to the lack of content but the content that was there was excellent. Mop on the other hand had a lot of content and it was all excellent. The zones, the dungeons, the raids hell even dailies were fun. The questing, damn that stuff still holds up. I level characters now exclusively in mop and never tire of it. I honestly get a little disappointed when hitting 50 and realize "Oh well now I gotta play the game". The monk is probably Blizzard's best designed class, the depth and the variety. They play like no other and their unpopularity is criminal. The Pandas, god I love those fat bastards. They are funny to look at, funny to listen to but when they want to be can be badasses. Taran Zhu is not very humorous but the dude tries to fight Garrosh alone, loses and continues to talk mad shit. Badass. Battlepets? What a creative and fun little idea. Novel, the concept that Blizzard just adds a side game with depth that you can simply choose to partake. Sure the expansion had it's flaws such as the at the time new and now old talent system. It had merit and was good in its' own ways but after playing through classic and having my memory refreshed it is clearly more fun to build with a tree.

What is there really to dislike about MOP? Association with Kung Fu Panda? Well those movies are great. Fantastic even. Being vaguely associated with fantastic films is not a problem in my eyes.

One of the greatest ever pieces they've written for World of Warcraft. This piece to me will always be the crowing jewel of MoP, the shining star of the fourth expansion.

[Pride is the most insidious of sha.
It is good until it is bad.
And then it is more dangerous than all the others combined.
Beware of pride! Be humble!
The world is plunging into chaos.
Old enemies must work together.
Proud races must admit they need help.
Things are going to get worse before they get better.
Only by working together can we overcome the darkness.
All that stands in our way... is pride.]

It's amazing how ost from games can be so much intenser than ost from films...

Pandarens were in Warcraft 3 so I never understood people saying it didn't fit into WoW. And this was a great expansion--if they'd had mythic plus back then it would have been THE best expansion!

MoP gets far too much shit than it deserves.
It had its ups and downs but it was a truly *Beautiful* Expansion.
Classes felt great, music was AMAZING, zones were gorgeus.
I have so many good memories from Timeless Isle because WoW felt like a close community on that lil spot of land.

I've played WoW since 2006. I don't have any nostalgia for "the good old days" of Classic, TBC, or WOTLK. I barely played WoW classic, and haven't touched TBC classic. But MOP? I'd play a MOP classic. Take me back.

Happy and sad at the same time. Melody changes itself so wonderfully.

Say what you want about the game, but Blizz is always top notch when it comes to soundtracks and cinematics.
