Everyone is depressed but look at her energy. E numbers make you happy in the short run but kills you in the long run

We in the Americas are fed foods that are not allowed in the EU

She complains that in the UK people don't really say how they're feeling, but then goes on to say that although in the US everybody says how they're feeling it might not be sincere in the US don't really say how they're feeling either!

You're only wary of strangers in London. Up North, it's very different.

The thing about America I noticed right away is how SALTY the food was, all the restaurants I had to tell them no salt lemme put my own, it’s like they have no idea what seasoning is only salt🧂

I think she was imitating the Southern US accent. The cultural equivalent to the UK would be Northern England. People are very chatty and kind.

The US (technically) doesn’t have any “E numbers” in their food….
E numbers are devised by the European Union as identifiers for allowed additives to food such as preservatives, sweeteners, emulsifiers, anti-caking agents, thickeners, etc.

E numbers as a concept aren’t inherently bad. Citric acid has an E number (E330) that’s just why lemons taste sour, Fatty Acids (E570) literally found in fruits and nuts. Heck even Oxygen has an E number (E948)

But I get where she’s coming from with the worrying list of additives that are permitted in the US but straight up banned in the EU.

Titanium Dioxide (E171) is often talk about as controversial in the US but does have an E number.

I'm from the States and it's sad she feels that way. If I go out of my way to compliment or speak to you, I mean it. Not everyone has a southern accent.

The US doesn't have E numbers. E numbers are a European classification for food additives and have no bearing on whether something is unhealthy or bad for you

American food is great for the first week, then the novelty wears off.
Trying to find a vegetable on a menu is like trying to find Lord Lucan.

Outside London and the South East people are normal in the North and smaller towns and villages.

Trust me an American saying ‘I love your shoes!” Means it.
‘’ how are you?’’ NOPE.

Black women mean it about shoes, hair, outfits or whatever you are rocking.

Americans are MUCH MORE SINCERE than British people about compliments, what are you TALKING about?

A British compliment is *always* sarcastic if not openly insulting and degrading. They're famous for it worldwide. I've met people who don't even speak English who can PERFECTLY pantomime a British person's contumely and condemnation.

Americans want to spead good vibes and connect.... otherwise they would not talk to you.

British people want you to help them work through their institutional trauma by becoming their bullying victims.

Not the same.

At all. I spent years in England. It made me yearn for the friendly, loving and welcoming Dutch social experience.
