The cape isn’t actually a portal like the other two, it’s supposed to be the irl mine from the Minecraft movie- you can see it in the trailer. The overworld you’re seeing is the outside viewed from inside the mine, which is super cool

It would be interesting to see a ‘Kraken’ build with the Dinnerbone’d Happy ghast placed in a ship. With the tentacles flailing around it would like a kraken is attacking a ship (with a little imagination).

i need an excuse somewhere to share this, but the minecraft movie was filmed in my country (new zealand) particularly in a place called huntly, which was voted the worst place in new zealand (rightfully so) by new zealanders, more than once if i recall. the yearn cape is the mine from the movie, which is quite literally just the “huntly coal mines”. i find it hilarious that these ugly mines are now immortalised in the form of a minecraft cape

Glad you’re diving deeper into the features, but could you test riding a horse or camel with the locator bar? Haven’t seen how the jump bar they give you interacts with it.

I hope in the future they add a way to have banners and lodestones appear on the locator bar. It would be nice to have important landmarks appear on the bar without using commands

Something else I noticed about the Happy Ghast is that it's tentacles are shorter than the normal Ghast's.

There needs to be a way to keep the happy ghasts small in survival - I don't care about the big version. The tiny one is cute enough for decoration

Potion of invisibility works on it too. But you can still see the harness.

11:15 entity waypoints have a lot of potential for minigames, treasure hunts, or adventure-style activities! The commands are also quite simple to use. Can you assign a waypoint to an armor stand for example? Or what about a banner? I don't remember if that counts as an entity.

I had kind of hoped that you would be able to place a block on a flying happy ghast, but it doesn't seem like you can. I don't mean as a mobile structure, it wouldn't stick to the ghast, it would just be like having floating scaffolding so that you don't have to build all the way up and then tear down all those blocks if you want to build in the sky.

2:24 It's not Happy Ghast being immune, it's just that you can't throw potions at it from the top.
If you throw potions at it from the side the potions will actually work.

You actually can see it bottom side of the cape. if you go in third person, look at your back, and sprint. That’s how I found out about the secret.

Hoping some of the Vanilla Tweaks creatives make a pack that removes jack black from the elytra version of the cape if possible

They should add an option so the locator bar automatically targets tamed mobs so that single players can use it without cheating. Because it's annoying when the cat you just tamed sits on a bed or chest in the village you're in without you knowing so you lose them, or you neglect to stand your pet up and forget where they are. I could also see Vanilla Tweaks adding this type of feature similar to how the silence tag works, just name a mob something specific and it'll appear on your bar.

It would be really cool if we had waypoints that were only visible to certain teams, i could see this being in a tdm with objective and team members showing up as waypoints.
