From C to Python by Ross Rheingans-Yoo

Python is a popular language for everything from short, informal scripts to complex data-processing frameworks. Fortunately, the syntax is very similar to C, with just a few key differences. In this seminar, we’ll walk you through them, leaving you with the ability to write your own short (or long!) programs in Python, doing everything you already know how to do in C, only with fewer compilation errors!

I can see my C programming midterm/final questions answered in two lines of Python code. Mind blowing.

Watched the video end to end. Very useful. Learned C using Borland Turbo C++ compiler 18 years ago. Need to do small API programming work in Python now and wanted to get up and running fast. As intermediate user, this video price provided right amount of details for me to get confidence working with Python now. Thank you!

finally good tutorial for my style of learning (learning by examples) and good pace for covering many topics. I am beginner for python, but not in programming so comparison with known coding style was also very helpful for me.

That watch in your hand reveals many things. But I liked you wear this Royal stuff. Simplicity is the ultimate truth of living passionately, genuinely, happily and intuitively.

Very helpful for this old C programmer (>30 years using C)---I just came back for a review today. There are a few other things that could be added. Like that everything has attributes, even the lowly integer literal. Python seems, from the outside, to follow the principle of *maximum* astonishment until one realizes that assumptions are made on every value and tracked as attributes. Also, variables are always variable so if you need a constant make it a function instead. And, on types, Python3 supports setting types like in "Carrots:int = 13".

I stopped after about 20 mins because I couldn't bare this atrocity anymore. C is my first language. Python is an offense brought to C. Those guys who invented it should be PUNISHED. On a serious note, I hope one day I'll learn Python and not puke while writing Python code.

is a great lesson, and turns out Python 3.7 seems more do not care about
how fast it's C compare to Python, just Python it's to learn
