Had torsion in highschool, i had bell clapper, meaning I had a deformity in the tissue that is supposed to help anchor the testicles in place to prevent natural twisting. I woke up with some aching that progressed into deep visceral abdominal pain and nausea. My family went out to eat but we happened to be going to the hospital to get some medications for my mom. In the emergency room I was turning white, and walking was very difficult.

Doctors looked at them with an ultrasound, confirmed torsion and tried to undo it manually (never experienced worse pain in my life)

Eventually they had to perform surgery and then I was better, just had to wear special underwear and my sac was giant for a couple days. Also have a weird strangely smooth scare.

Bell clapper is a natural deformity that happens in some men. From my understanding it doesn't mean you will get torsion, it just means you are likely to, testicles tend to twist around a lot in your daily life. One symptom that many have is that one of your testicles will be wider than another, not because your testicle is wider, but because it is sideways instead of hanging upright as it should. One of mine was like that.

As a teenager (25 years ago) I had a swollen testicle my mum got me to the hospital (she was a nurse) Doctor comes in does his mystic doctor magic said I was going to be ok. Next he says there are student Doctors on the ward and would I mind if they come in to help their education.
