TEXTBEFORE TEXTAFTER and TEXSPLIT: Text Functions in Excel with Real-Life Examples

How would you like to replace Text-to-Columns with a single function? How would you like to replace a monstrous find-left-right-mid mega-formula with a single function? Sounds too good to be true? Amongst the 14 Excel functions added to Excel in 2022 are 3 that will help you to do just that!

This video was recorded in March 2022 which is when the functions were made available to users on the Beta Insider Channel. In August 2022, Microsoft made them available to all users on the Microsoft 365 Current Channel which is the channel that receives updates each month and is the channel that the majority of users are subscribed to.

In this video I’ll cover all 3 new functions:
1. TEXTSPLIT: Easily break apart a text string based on one or more delimiters
2. TEXTAFTER: Define a delimiter and extract the text to the right
3. TEXTBEFORE: Define a delimiter and extract the text to the left
