From CNN's debut album 'The War Report,' released in 1997 and produced by DJ Clark Kent. I do not own the copyrighted material, this is for entertainment purposes only.
the war report was the most stolen cassette from my car summer of 97. i bought it several times. a straight up classic.

I much prefer this version to the one that fades out early on the re-press. This is how I remember bumping Closer all summer 97. Thanks for uploading.

This the best version of this record. I don't like the one on ITunes. This is the one that was on my CD in 97!

Been looking all over for this version, I thought they erased it off the planet! Takes me back to the 90’s, this is culture soundtrack music!

Both versions are great IMO, but I wish they were both on streaming instead of just one

Song was my ace when I was youngster coming up in the 90s, and it was the perfect song to the end the album, all the griminess, gritty toughness and to end the album with this song was perfect, like there was hope to make it out of New York.

This is the version I remember growing up.

This Is My Favorite Hip-Hop Song - Hip-Hop Music - Closer - Capone-N-Noreaga Feat Nneka [Year: 1997] [Album: The War Report] [Official Music Video] [Explicit]

I like this version better than then the other one. The beat reminds me of biggies juicy or fat Joe's song envy. Has that chill vibe to it
