Kefalonia is a perplexing mix of old and new. A few picturesque villages are matched by some desperately dull holiday resorts and some impressively monotonous towns.

Hi Giannis, I am sure you can appreciate that you can only see so much during just one weeks stay. I would love to come back and explore the parts of the island that I have not been too. I do have a lot more photos of other places but I tried to keep the length of the video down as much as I could but at the same time showing as much as I could. Kefalonia is the best place ever. The towns are beautiful and you have got some of the bet pictures of the island. I go every year and I got back two days ago. Didn't want to leave :(. Have you been to the top of the mountain before?

It just happens that my mother is from the island. I have been there at least 5 or 6 times for vacations and i still discover new aspects of the island, that i can now say that i have discovered a fair portion of the Island but not the whole picture of it.

Do you know that you can acces about 50 beaches by land and there also around 100-150 small bays with amazing little beaches all over the island.
Anyone who has a small boat and can cruise it around is at least envyable.

A very good job, Graham.I am a Cephalonian resident and i adored your video.But, for some peculiar reason, Makris and Platis Gialos, the two most visited beaches are absent.Also, probably the most beautiful beach of the island, Antisamos beach, is absent.Let alone that you have completely ignored Lixouri and the Palliki peninsula.Since you mention that you have been to the island only once i understand that you have missed some places of interest.So, hope to see you again in summer

I have only been to Kefalonia once and found it to be such a great place to be.
