Thanks for this honest review. Was going to buy one on craigslist but knew nothing about them so researching. Your 's is the only consumer review I've been able to find. I think for just fun summer surfing when you go super small it needs to be super thick (I'm talking 3.5 to 4 inches) all over so there's more leeway for where you land on on pop up. Like the little kid in the video because has so much real estate on the board because of his weight and height. You reminded me the reason why small looks fun, but never really turns out to be that fun on foam at least unless you're one of those people that can surf anything. Thanks again.

You need a misfit dope machine in softworks construction. You can get a 5’10” with 41CL volume. It has future fin boxes and can be ridden as a thruster or quad. Super stable with a diamond tail for easy pivots. It rides really planted as a thruster and/or semi skatey, but really fast as a quad. Amazing board for waist to head high. It’s literally what you were looking for when you got this. Oh also, the price point can’t be beat. 😊

This is a review based on this guys ability and size. I’ll be testing this board soon. I’m 5’9” 190 so we’ll see how it goes. Mind you, I can already surf on the catch surf bearer just fine....

You need to surf for a while in this Board, the trick is the very small sweet spot, once ok get the hang of it the Board is incredible

I think any board to hat short is going to be difficult to ride

If guys can stand-up surf on boogie boards, you can surf on this lol. Just a matter of getting comfortable.

Such a different experience than I had! Im 6'4" 190 and surf primarily on the Great Lakes (typical boards in my quiver ranging from 6'3" to 6'6" step ups) ....just took this 5'3" fishy out on a waist-to-stomach cleanup swell in low buoyancy FRESH water....and I had a BLAST! I had zero probs getting INTO waves...zero issue with the sweet spot biz that was mentioned AND you could pump and put it on rail leaps and bounds more effectively the 6'6" POS Odyssea Skipper Thruster that I bought and ditched after one session.

I'm 5'7 and weighing 150 this board works perfect for me.

What's your height/weight? You look too big for this.
