Bricks & Minifigs Crest Hill is located just south of Brick World Chicago! Check them out while you're in town and let them know I sent you for 20% off your purchase (excludes new/current sets)!

I arrived to Brick World Chicago a few days early to meet up with friends and check out the local LEGO retailers! I had heard so much about this store from my community here on YouTube, so I just HAD to come check it out while I was here. They are a family-run (and female owned!) Bricks & Minifigs store just south of Chicago. We spent around 5 hours there to see the LEGO and film, but also had a blast talking to the owners and the employees there! They were the absolute sweetest people and truly care about LEGO and the LEGO community! We had a blast here, so really do come stop by if you're ever in town!

Thank you Bricks & Minifigs Crest Hill for sponsoring this video!

I like hearing Ross talk about random Lego history. I need more Ross vlogs with neat Lego facts and Star Wars!!! Oh and tips on how to be a good dog mom.

Lego Friends are clearly all trust-fund babies.

Hi Emily! My kids and I enjoy your content. It’s fun to see you guys at the Bricks and Minifigs that’s not too far from us. We will try to say hi at Brickworld this weekend!

I still have my Fabuland sets. They were awesome!!! I wish I had more. I also have one of the first gray castle sets. That is an awesome set with the drawbridge and the knights with swords, shields, and lances on their horses. Just a fun set.

I love the old Fabuland figures. . . . and I'm not embarrassed to also admit I like Belleville.

Original castle?!? Wow...
Ross, OG pirates playability factor is probably highest (IMHO) across the Lego line. Set up islands, boats to go from A-B, functioning cannon, trap doors... amazing. All the feels.

A lot of cool retired and retro old sets.
3:35 I have creationary in my collection, as well as the donut shop opening set.
6:30 you should use the raised water baseplate for the little mermaid castle.
It was cool to see the famous castle, the original forest hideout, as well as the mini modulars.
Lego should bring back the my own train theme.

You should check out some LEGO history books! Lots of interesting stuff in LEGO's past. Fabuland is just one of the many quirky lines.

I have that yellow castle from 1981. It's the 3rd or 4th most valuable Lego set I have. We're so lucky that Lego keeps its value.

The archers with green hats were always Robin Hood ( the guy from Medieval times who stole from the rich to give to the poor) to me and my cousin. My cousin had lots of the pirate and castle sets and would build sets that went all across the window ledges in my cousins’ playroom. My brother had a castle with a prison and a ghost that glowed in the dark. We are all 80’s kids.
