Hi - I actually have a question about the Great Highland Bagpipe whistle, but the comment section for that video was disabled. Can I learn bagpipe fingering with this type of whistle instead of a practice chanter? Blowing the reed correctly is slowing down my fingering; it gets screechy too often. Since playing the bagpipes doesn't involve direct reed blowing, can I substitute this whistle? Or, is there a mouthpiece that can turn my Gibson practice chanter into a whistle if I remove the reed? Just wondering. Thanks for the informative videos.
