HD PVR 2 PC Audio Issues

Hello everyone, Spartan again here with another video requesting your help.
I'm trying to use my HD PVR 2 to record PC gameplay, but I keep getting this weird audio hum or echo in the background. Is there anything in my setup that I'm doing wrong? Is there any way to fix this? Is it a problem only I'm facing? Or is it something I need to do in Sony Vegas to edit it out?
Any feedback about the issue would be greatly appreciated!

I had no audio on my SageTV installation after reinstalling the HD-PVR2 software. The trick was to run a SPIDF cable from the CATV box to the HD-PVR2 and configure SageTV as "Component + SPDIF". I mention this because I stumbled on this video while looking for a solution to that problem.
