I just recently discovered 2 rail O and I love it for all the reasons mentioned here. True it takes a lot of space, but I found a way to make it fit in with my HO and American Flyer in my small basement. Plus there's a 2 rail club literally 5 minutes from my house! Thanks for the great promo

This video is really well done, I am so glad that I discovered it. I have been interested in OS2R for many years, and honestly always wondered why because of its realism that it hadn't become more popular. Thank you!

I really liked your video here. I'm a 3-rail modeler but I either hand lay my trackage or use Atlas code 148 2-rail track with a much smaller code 87 rail down the middle. For my next layout project, I would love to combine 2-rail and 3-rail (as they are utilizing the same rail codes) to operate side-by-side. i remember when O Scale models meant high levels of detailing and 3-rail models were basically just toys. Not true anymore, these danged 3-rail models match in detailing pound for pound (except for that lobster claw couplers) with 2-rail models and in some cases, even exceed them in detailing. In fact, I don't know why 3-rail train builders don't just go ahead and flange all drive wheels (if appropriate to the loco being modelled). Lionel did this in 1937 with their 700E NYC Hudson and it worked just fine. Anyways, all of it is just fascinating.

(5:39) Pls reload this video w much more focused one. It's such a nice big 2-rail vs. wannaBee 3-rail w blackened
center rail which Lionel is producing.

N&W Y6b compound articulated engine w the huge wide firebox is my favorite engine.
Is this model by MaxGray-KTM of the 1964 issue? The water bottle must b of Sunset?

As of 03/23/2025:
R there any production brass makers still left for this scale n still using brass cast details?

Or they're all injection molded plastic? Except of course, the whls must b steel n brass.
No brass tyres acceptable. Not even all brass whls w chrome coated tyres.

Want body parts = boiler, cab, running board, tender body, cylinders be brass. Chassis can be brass or steel but nut(not) plastic.
No Zamac as w All Nations stuff. The mat'l becomes brittle n deteriorate.

If u convert say 1/3 of the 3 railer O-Gaugers, u'll have more room for the brass makers to make 0-scale brass.

Don't want 2C like Sunset Co. ==> 3R conversion again. Will, that co.'s quality was the poorest even after decades later
than the NJ Brass work. Bad cold soldering jobs. Made by Kindergarteners under Kindergarten teacher supervision ...

With current modern metal (including brass?) printing CNC and of course, w the regular metal cutting CNC, i dink even the
all brass loco and cars can be made. Extruded Aluminum psgr Khaas r OK. Needn't b brass. Buttto still, their roof, w Creosote
type like the old Pullman cars still be difficult unless it's of plastic. But must not warp.
