btw this is GNOME 3.30 beta, but Files app is 3.28!

i believe an extension that would just add the lasso effect, without desktop icons, without doing anything at all, it would be highly welcome :p

Interesting, I have similar DND bug with Firefox on Wayland, when dragging tabs over the Shell Overview.

3.30 with Wayland ? I just tested with 3.28 on Xorg (but nautilus 3.26) and it works even less (no menu on items, and i don't have the lasso effect !)
