Lyrics:
Ko te ata māhina
Ata tuhi, ata rapa
Maiea te putanga o Tamanuiterā
Ko te ata hāpara
Mahea te pō
Ka ao, ka awatea
Ki te whaiao, ki te ao mārama
Kōrihi te manu
Kōki te oro
Ko te ata pō
Te kōpara e kō ake i te ata
Ka ao, ka awatea
Ki te whaiao, ki te ao mārama
(Hui e, tāiki e)

Great effort.

The young Māori male has a great voice for Kapa Haka; Powerful, great tone, he can maintain his harmonies without being distracted by others. Your voice is very soothing in both low and medium tones.
Love the ability to adapt the dynamics in your voice to accommodate room for other harmonies to combine with your one too.

The young Māori female's harmony is quite off. It isn't the right harmony for this song. However, your voice shines in your other videos such as 'He Kākano Āhau'; a very beautiful transition from the male to the female in that particular song and your voice is very angelic.
Your voice could even been really great for disney songs or even songs from artists' like Maisey Rika. :) very soft and gentle voice you have its lovely.

In parts of this song, some of the harmonies don't quite work. There were some great parts of the song, however, more bad parts on behalf of the High Harmony.
I just think all the harmonies were also in the wrong places. Like, the bass's harmony should of been the tenors' harmony, the tenors should of been the bass's harmony etc etc
Without the melody in some parts of the song to guide the harmonies, it got a little messy in there at times.

All-in-all, I Love it ! Love seeing our people bathing in the rivers of our culture.
Would you whanau possibly be able to cover either "Taku Inoi" by 'Maisey Rika' or maybe "Uia te patai". I think these two waiata would be great for your whanau' voices.

Have watched a few of your videos and also love your little twist to waiata such as Purea Nei. Keep em coming ;)

Tino pai mo to haerenga - all the best for your journey :)
