Turning off traction control doesn't fully disable it, the computer will make the tires grip if they slip too much. Under the hood is a 25 amp fuse, pull that and abs, traction control and stabilitrak will be fully disabled until you put the fuse back in

Hey, I have an 07 with a 5.3 too. Is stabilitrac and traction control the same thing? If not how to I turn both of them off? I know one of them is right under the Radio/GPS

Kind of a lame burnout in that case. Now if you can just slam the gas and spin the tires, that's some real power. Most cars can hold the brake and spin tires no problem. It's no real test of power unless you can just break traction by flooring it from a stop.

That's definitely not a proper burnout
