The reality is its not 3 linebacker (WLB, MLB, SLB) formations 85% of the time. It's nickel, which is ideally two fast, rangy and physical linebackers that are all around good. I think you are over thinking it.

Aye all the Top Defenses have 2 Solid Line Backers.... This might not be a Bad Idea. we need more line Backers/Depth. In addition The 4-3 and Big Nickel Packages may be solid. Quay can make a Jump in Year 3 and Edgerin Cooper could be better that Quay was in his Rookie Season. Not to mention he can rush the passer and is a solid tackler. T.J Tampa in the 2nd Round, I would like that Draft! Sounds Interesting on Paper🤔

Edgerrin Cooper’s best asset is speed. He can fly. That helps him in man coverage, as he can cover Tight Ends and Running Backs on deep routes. Combined with his impressive lateral movement skills, he rarely is out of phase when playing man. It also helped him rack up sacks as a spy since he can close on ball-carriers in a hurry. As a run defender, Edgerrin Cooper reads gap runs quickly and can beat offensive linemen to the spot. However, when he can’t use his movement skills to slip blocks, he’s too wiry to hold his ground and will get pushed out of the gap. Edgerrin Cooper needs to add size and strength to be effective on early downs in the NFL. The good news is that Edgerrin Cooper is physical and not afraid to throw his body around as a run defender. Edgerrin Cooper has the right mindset and could grow in this area with more time in the weight room. Overall, Edgerrin Cooper is a bit of a project who might take a year or 2 to catch on. But in a weak linebacker class, he’ll be the one of the top options available at the position. Schematically, he’d be best as a “Will” linebacker in even fronts for a team that uses a lot of man coverage and fire blitzes. That will allow play-callers to take advantage of his ability to impact the passing game, as he’s a good coverage ‘backer and blitzer. Edgerrin Cooper’s Grade is 7.3 (High-Level Backup/Potential Starter-3rd Round), his overall ranking is 58, his Position Rank is LB1, and his Pro Comparison is to Jerome Baker. Edgerrin Cooper’s height is 6’3”, his weight is 230 LBS, his hand is 9 3/4”, his arm is 34”, his wingspan is 80 1/4”, he ran a 40-yard dash with 4.51 seconds, his vertical is 34.5”, and his broad is 9’10”. Go Pack Go 💚💛

That is not Cooper in the photo for the video, that is safety Leon O'Neal Jr.

value in the first rounds (for us, because we dont need WRs...) is oline, dline, corners and edges. thats what i will expect that the packers will go in the first 2 days.

Edge won't shed o linemen. If you're intent on keeping Quay at WILL, I would draft Junior Colson instead. You could get JR with the a late 2nd or early 3rd. We need run stuffing capability at linebacker and D line.

What’s your issue with Quay? Are you sick of him or is it actually because you think he’s bad?
