Video was uploaded with no audio because my laptop is a POS. It should be good now!

In this video, I go in-depth on why the C4 Corvette is one of the better Corvettes, even though it's the only Corvette I've ever driven. Because I know what I'm talking about.

Being a corvette enthusiast and have owned three C4 corvettes I can see where some corvette owners would have a bone to pick with you on the way you described the car, but I will say it is entertaining you way you presented its accurate faults. I will add that I owned an '84 C4 and it was very relievable as long as you knew how to keep the dual injectors calibrated. I currently own a '90 ZR-1 and it is a whole different world of C4 from the base models. Good video

Thanks for sharing. Being one of those old people you mentioned, it's so cool to see someone young who. 1.Isn't afraid to drive a stick, let alone an auto stick. You know what I mean. 2. Heard all the naysayers on C4's Yet is willing to see for yourself and tell anyone the truth about an Old C4. I own a 90 C4 that now works great, but with a 33-year-old car. No matter who made it, stuff will break. Fast No, Best gas mileage NO, Cheap to replace parts NO. Is it what I enjoy YES. having driven and own all types of cars and trucks You'd think ZR 1 or at least a 96. Nope. I have a convertible with an extra hardtop. It found me. Spent way too much on it, but something got me hooked. Handling? Nice at freeway speeds? You can't really compare it with most other sports cars. Good, bad or otherwise. If anything, there cheaper to get started in C4 corvettes. A good car to play with and still have fun. And being different then everyone else. Smiles per mile youngster. Enjoy the ride! CHEERS

Personally, as an owner of an '89 base C4 Corvette, "LORVET the Corvette", with "Salad Shooter" wheels (only took me thirty-eight years to get my paws on one btw), I think this young gent did a right fine job of presenting the C4 'Vette honestly, with all it's many quirks which IMHO is a BIG part of the charm of the car, and with a sense of humor (if you're offended by a little fun being poked at you and your toy, then me thinks you're taking it way too seriously). I also think that he makes a good point as to how much LEGAL fun one can have on the street with a base C4 and NOT get pinched in the process (I did take LORVET to the track in October 2023 and was soundly trounced by a C8, but that's on the track and track days are few and far between). Back in '84, I was blown away by the C4 as I'd never seen anything like it and as far as I was concerned, it was everything a 'Vette was SUPPOSED to be and with it's nearly 50/50 weight distribution (one of the things the car mags raved about back in the day as I recall), it is pretty much a mid-engine car from that perspective regardless of where the engine is in relation to the driver. Getting back to those "Salad Shooters", I think they look great, very unique, BUT am not terribly fond of the beauty covers for the wheel hubs because of that whacky security key one needs to get the covers off to access the lug nuts. Got myself into a bind when upgrading the brakes, don't ask, when that key finally stripped and I couldn't get the beauty cover off to access the lugs (it had to be drilled out and I had to get a set of new bolts and key). Those beauty covers requiring that nutty key and those specialized bolts could be a real bummer should one have to change a tire on the road tell you WHAT! I'll also say that this vid had me kinda wishing LORVET was equipped with a manual trans, BUT she was the right 'Vette at the right time and she came with a 700R4, so she's a great GT car and my wife can handle her which MAY come in handy someday. BTW, noticed that the spare tire pan, at least in the vid, is about to drop and dump the spare which could prove to be quite dangerous if it happened on the road (prolly fixed by now, but one needs to keep an eye on that spare pan with these cars tell you what). Anywho, many thanks for taking the time to highlight these very special, unique and quirky cars, I for one greatly appreciates it. And remember, cars are great and a lotta fun, but King Jesus Christ is WAY better! God bless! :)

I think the official name of the color is “cocaine white”.

Interesting video on the 35th anniversary C4. I’m sure the one you were driving may have been a little tired. They actually handle quite well even today. Showroom stock banned them from racing in 1988 since the smoked Porsche etc. Corvette created their own race series called the Corvette Challenge. I’m a bit biased with a 35th car and have one as well but it’s an automatic. Have mine for over 20 years now. They built 2050 35th Anniversary and each has numbered plaque ( mine is 1847). Only 180 were manuals so they are rare. Thanks for the throwback!!

I like the video but I will say this I have one of these cars and I put my golf clubs under the target top when it’s in the back of the car. A lot of stuff still fits under the Tiger top when in the trunk

I dont know why people think its slow because of the hp. Hp is not everything. The car has a lot of tourge and that is really important. That makes the car faster than other cars with more hp

And its not a good handling car? Look how fucked it looks. The people whi drove it before treat it like shit. And i think they go out and in the car like you. Hold the hand at the steering wheel and that will break it. When i see videoa about a old c4 whi get a lot of love the people say other things about the car. And the facts about the car say other things too

Good video. Nice to see a younger driver appreciate the C4. Now for some constructive criticism if you want to get serious about C4’s. You missed a lot of the historic significance of the C4. The corvette was about to die as it had become a joke in the world of sports cars. The C4 came out and immediately changed that view, even with the 84 and its Cross-Fire Injection. The C4 matched or beat the performance and HANDLING specs of any of Europes best sports cars. The handling is anything but weak. The C4 was developed on the track and its handling specs beat the best from Europe. Its very respectable even by today’s standards. If yours is mushy, there is something wrong in the suspension. Given the duct tape OB the seats there is No telling what the previous owner did to the suspension. It’s totally ludicrous to ever compare a 40 year old sports car to a C8 or a modern European car. It would have been way faster if not for the ***# government. In addition, NEVER use the steering wheel to enter or exit the vehicle or you will destroy the steering column. Thats a C4 sin. As the new owner of a Corvette of historical significance i hope you will spend the many hours necessary to clean it up and fix the glaring cosmetic atrocities that exist in the interior and any mechanical issues that were not apparent in the video. The engine didn’t start properly and the duct tape on the seats is unimaginable. The previous owner should be flogged and banned from future Corvette ownership. I intend these comments to be constructive and informative. Overall good video and I hope you get much enjoyment out of your car, but it’s not going to come cheap or easy. Guess how I know that?

I really wanted to like this video, but the constant negativity of the car, it’s quirks or the people who own them, I stopped 9 minutes in.
