I just wanted to tell you guys that the thing I enjoy most about watching your channel is that you guys always look at cards more objectively and with an open mind compared to most other channels I watch/follow for MTG. It bums me out seeing videos from other channels shitting all over these cards or immediately deeming them bad for some lame reason like suspend where as you guys take a deeper look.

I've got six foil Lotus Blooms sitting in a box and not in any decks. I see any Sol Talismans I get becoming neighbors with them.

This makes me want to make a EDH deck called “Swords” where every card has to either have sword in the name or a sword in the art work.

Sword of hearth and home looks incredibly strong ramping you early and repeatedly, giving you a blink affect that is widely situational jn terms of the value you can generate from it, and even let's you get back a creature that was stolen from you thanks to the wording on the card. (Exile a creature you own return it onto the battlefield under your control)

Feast and Famine is first - having your lands open just makes so many more options for you and at least in my group we play a good chunk of black and green
Hearth and Home is second - ETB's are super strong but you need an ETB creature to take full advantage of it whereas open mana is always useful even as a block. The ramp portion of it though is fantastic, especially since it comes in untapped.
Fire and Ice - the card draw is always good but the shock is something to be desired, i guess it can take out some utility creatures but other than that my playgroup doesn't play a whole lot of red and the prot from blue doesn't exactly stop them from countering stuff.

i dont think that sol talisman will see anything but fringe play in cedh. esper sentinel is so fucking dope tho

At the pre-release I was able to draw Kaldra off of Moderation, then cast Dakkon with 8 Loyalty and drop Kaldra straight into play with his Ultimate. Was glorious.

Esper Sentinel is going to be fun in Ghave or any +1/+1 counter deck with white :P

Also, the sword can blink a creature you OWN. So you can take back a creature that somebody stole from you. Nice niche utility IMO

Sol talisman in my opinion the card is overhyped yeah you can cheat it into play, but it's not a staple for every deck. Similarly can be said about the new kaldra card if the germ is somehow removed, only a few decks could easily re-equip it.

Yeah. First three turns goes pretty quick.

I plan to try a one of Kaldra Complete in my Bant Toski/Stoneforge Mystic modern deck. I think it might be fun along side the blades equipments and a Batterskull ?

Sol Talisman is probably as effective in making you archenemy without having the use of it for 3 turns. Also, if you are planning on using other cards to cheat it into play then it really does not become worth is. Auto includes in formats like EDH have to have an impact by themselves and I am not sure the delayed impact like this will be the advantage that would make a real difference unless you have a mana heavy deck.

I'll be running every card you have talked about in the video I'm a huge artifact fan and have multiple artifact edh decks, however I do like the name slow ring lol

Not sure about the power of a RARE Sol Ring that outlives its usefulness once you play it

Sol Talisman is garbage compared to Sol Ring. If cards like Mox Tantalite, a card very similar and actually better, sees less than 1% of all decks according to MTGGoldfish, this card has no hope for any competitive play.

Personally I believe Fire & Ice is an overrated sword; aside from it having probably the best combination of coloured protection. So, H&H would rank number 2 in my list, below F&F but above S&S. and probably B&M and number 4

Excellent video gentlemen! Any ideas for germ builds?

Competitive Yidris player here, sol talisman is not good enough to make a cascade deck. Suspend 3 is too long to get a slot. Too often going to be a dead draw

Talisman of sol would have been a better name
