This is cinematic treasure. I love it. Pre dash cam footage of the docklands. Look at the amount of train lines crisscrossing the area, the red telephone boxes and lorries😁Thankyou

By my reckoning, this clip starts at the eastern end of South West India Dock (South Quay) travelling westwards, then turns left-right-left between the warehouses and out onto what is now Marsh Wall (0.30), travelling westwards with the buildings of the Central Granary behind the crane on our left. At (0.39) we cross the bridge over the Millwall cutting between South West India Dock and Milwall Dock, and continue in a broadly westerly direction, gradually swinging north-westerly, with the South Dock warehouses to our right. The road curves round in line with the railway lines, and South Dock becomes South West Quay. At (1.31) we see the magnificent West India Dock Impounding Station, which is still there today, and continue to almost due north, past Heron Quays, which is out of view on our right. At (2.02) we see on the left a rectangular red brick building, behind which (I think) is the original Hertsmere House, now demolished and supposedly being replaced by a 67 storey residential block. The car turns right here, onto the north side of West India Quay, past the portico of the Ledger Building (still there, now a Wetherspoons) and down the back of what is now the Museum of London Docklands and several expensive watering holes.

Fantastic! Would love to have a detailed map of all the railways around the docks at that time, many thanks for the upload...

The MkI Cortina with the 'C' Suffix number plate at around 1:24:20 suggests that it's no earlier than 1965.

But they didn't drive through a pile of crates like in The Sweeney.

It's great....but I think it's too fast. It hasn't been transferred at the correct speed.
