You dismiss Plato's theory of forms, and yet Schopenhaeur saw it's great relevance. The discovery in Physics, of many laws which have been found to be generally applicable, are thought by some to be indicative of Plato's forms, half way between 'what really is' to 'appearances'. That is, they give some insight into that world beyond
