People, please do your research. We were just informed yesterday by our title company that our "owner" was a scammer and not the actual owner.

That’s insane. There was actually a story of a scammer from Africa that “sold” an Airport (that didn’t belong to him of course) to one international bank for 200 mln dollars, and they did not discover it until 3 years later

Good stuff David. Wow, that's a heavy story. Can't believe that scammer sold 3 properties he didn't own to another wholesaler who then re-sold them to a rehabber who renovated all 3 houses and then got tenants moved into all 3 of them. Wow, what a mess. Ironic all 3 actual owners never had any idea any of this work was being done on their properties over likely several months. So the end buyer who did all the renovating on those 3 properties was out all that money in the end? Boy, a good reason to go postal after that happened. And to use a good title company!

So if you have a tax property and did a quiet title would that be a quit claim deed vs warranty? Would that affect resale?
