Tree resins have been a major part of human history and have been used in nearly every culture on Earth for thousands of years. Whether used in perfumery, as incense, medicine, or for more practical uses in crafts, construction, ancient boat building, spiritual practice and insect repellants, tree resins continue to share their many virtues and gifts with humanity.

There are many ways to utilize tree resins and today I want to talk about using them as incense. There’s a certain magic and timelessness when you sit down to a session of burning incense. My T introduced me to the world of fragrant resins, and from that, the way I looked at incense changed forever.

This reminds of my grandma s Chinese medicine shop where there were hundreds of herbs, spices, leaves, roots, stones, dry flowers and even dry insects! They were placed in those little drawers. They are thought to have healing properties. I was sent to her shop for a few summers and I didn’t care enough to learn about them when I was a kid. Now I realised it s a treasure.

I use a lot of Incense at home to purify... always with open doors, windows...to let the energy pass😊 my favorite are gardenias, roses, violets, honeysuckle, lemon flowers trees, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, rosemary, vanilla, musk, myrrh, amber, acacia resin, sugarcane...thank you for your are beautiful my friend😇🙏
