Galissas is a seaside village and one of the most touristic in Syros. It is located on the west side of the island, at the inn of the homonymous bay and beach of the homonymous valley that opens between the mountains Harassona and Glaronda. It is 7 km from the capital Ermoupolis.
At the highest point of the hill opposite the beach of Galissas, is built the church of Agia Pakou (Saint Pakou). From the courtyard of the catholic monastery, the view of Galissa is unique.
