New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has fought off accusations her government has failed to meet the needs of the victims in the country's worst mass shooting.

Commemorations were today held in Christchurch and Canberra on the second anniversary of the terror attacks at two mosques carried out by an Australian gunman who killed 51 people.
