Unboxing an Apimaye Nuc

Показать описание
Today, we begin a new series of videos on different and possibly new equipment types we are using at Papa Z’s Bees. Being a hobby beekeeper, we are able to experiement with different products, without having to apply them to hundreds of hives, like a commercial or even a sideliner beekeeper may have to do.
If you have watched our videos in the past, you know that we have a resource nucleus hive, which we use to give needed resources to another hive that may be in trouble. Our resource hive is currently a 5 frame nucleus, with two 5 frame boxes stacked. We have used them to supply young larvae on two occasions to allow a hive to create a new queen, when they have lost it. This resource hive started by placing two frames from a large colony and now it is bursting at the seems. The Apimaye hive offers 7 frame space, plus a lot heavy insulation to help get them through the winter.
Watch us today, as we unbox our first Apimaye hive.
