The classically jazz formation (double bass - guitar - drums) leaves room for cello and bass saxophone, creating freer spaces and giving cue for contamination among the 3 musicians, who have dissimilar backgrounds and histories.
Thanks to the heterogeneous characteristics of the 3 musicians, the trio's malgama is "explosive": the common thread remains the blues as the leading language, while deviating through free improvisational moments, warmer themes and more elaborate harmonic structures that approach jazz.
