‘Over’ from Peter Gregson’s new album ‘Patina’. Patina is out on September 10th.
‘Over’ is probably the most romantic of the pieces on this record, certainly the most yearning. It’s very easy to fill up space, keep adding more and more until it bursts in a rather messy way. This track underwent extensive ‘filleting’ to keep focus on our narrative melody. Returning again to the ‘song without words’, this piece feels like a dusky evening in the countryside with no man-made light to help find your way home. A reliance on instinct and nature.
