10 PERSHING TANKS vs 20 TIGERS - Men of War Assault Squad 2 - Editor Scenario #107

Funny but I've not done any with the M26 Pershing tank. Well, except that one that when I used Long Range addon but now this is just normal RobZ Realism mod as always and it's a duel against Tiger tanks. Pershing is definitely a tough opponent, with its 90mm M3 main gun and around 100mm frontal armor that is at some parts sloped making it even more efficient. So due to that, there are just 10 of them vs 20 German tanks.

Lol there was not a big difference between Pershing and Tiger I, Pershing just had a better frontal hull thanks to slope.

one factor that the games do not factor! the supreme accuracy of the 8.8 cm KwK 36. you could shoot a 410mm x 460mm target and hit it at 1, 100m. with the TZF 9c optics. I think in regards to the terrain. the tiger 1 should have faired better. also not taken into account, the experience of the panzer crews. these men were the best tankers the world has ever seen or will see. Most of them starting out in panzer iii and iv in the Russian front.

This is a case and point example why the US should have abandoned the Sherman completely and gone with the Pershings. Even if only 1/3 as many Pershings were made compared to all Sherman variants combined they would still heavily outnumber the Germans and it was a very competitive design with many possible improvements. The reasons why it wasn't deployed en mass is storied and complicated but a certain artillery officer named Gen. Leslie McNair is at the center of it.
