What I like about this song is that it has multiple interpretations
On one hand it’s about a relationship breaking down, the “life” being the life of the relationship, which has fallen apart due to “the bitterness”.
The other interpretation is that it’s about someone’s last ditch attempt to prevent a suicide, the “life” being a literal life. The singer didn’t realise how important this conversation was going to be, if he had he would have “stayed up with you all night” to prevent the suicide.

This song takes me back to 2013 where I was an extremely depressed teen with no idea how I was going continue living life.
It’s now 2020 and the world is exploding around me, but I’m still here and I’ve found my sanity.
Keep holding on, you never know what life will bring.

*How to save your own life:*
- if it looks like there's something wrong on it, try to find out what it is
- if you know what it is, find out a way to get rid of it
- if you can't get rid of it, learn to accept it and focus on the positive things on your life
- if you can't get over it, find peer support or learn ways how to use your hardship for good

*How to save someone else's life:*
- when they have something to tell, let them tell
- when they tell, listen
- while you listen, try to imagine how you'd feel in the person's situation
- let your following emotions make the work to make that person feel better

This comment is not to claim I'd know answer to every problem in this world. 
This is not to claim that you could fix every problem on this world either.
But everyone of us can fix at least one problem, their own or someone else's.
So just let's try to be more aware of this and make the world a little better place one sorrow at time.

Wow, this picture goes really well with this song. When talking to someone who's depressed or when feeling depressed it really does feel like there is a wall of iron bars separating you. You can hug, be hugged, but there's something in the way of keeping it feeling good or natural.

My friend used to love this song. She hung herself, the day before she turned 15. I'll remember her forever, as for this song. I loved her. But I can't tell her that now. Let that be a lesson to you all. I have learned... Don't be shy about your feelings. Tell someone. Because you never know when your chance will slip away.
