My favorite wine in the entire world is from a Volcanic Ssland called Lanzarote!

My favorite wine in the entire world out of the 122 countries I’ve been to, is from a volcanic island called Lanzarote, which is part of the Canary Islands owned by Spain, even though they are right off the coast of Morocco.

The entire island is covered in rich black lava soil, and the baby wine is placed in circular pits to grow so the wind doesn’t blow them away!

To me the wine has a distinct mineral earthy taste that seems almost a bit Smokey…or maybe that’s just my mind imagining grapes growing from lava 🤔😂

Anyway I have two favorites, the seco white from El Grifo, and the semi dulce from Rubicon!
