THANK YOU FOR THIS CLIP!!!! I HAVE BEEN SEARCHING FOR THIS FOR AGES MAN! Yes it's for a ladder and i am doing a door louver array but the principle should be the same.

Thank you so much. I came from using Autocad for years and was frustrated working with parameters in Revit but you're showing me the light at the end of the tunnel...lol...thanks again.

I have been searching for a video explaining how to do this for quite some time. I am extremely relieved to have finally found such an informative and detailed video. Thanks!

Excellent tutorial, I had been stuck for months because I thought Instance parameters couldn't be used with formulas but you here proved it wrong. Thaks for your video.

That would work if the Rung Width parameter in the Rung family is set to "Instance". Another alternative is to load it into the Ladder family and link the Rung's type parameters to those of the ladder.

Great video, by the way. I've been wishing this sort of thing was possible for a while. I didn't realize it already was.

Thank you, but what happens if i want to make the horizontal side parametric?

Thanks for the tutorial. I think the rung extrusion ends may need to be locked instead of the center of the rung in order for rung to adjust automatically with the widith of the ladder.

Revit is not allowing me to assign the rung spacing parameter to my arrayed rung. Any suggestions on what to look for?

Thanks, great video! I would though make the width parameter of the rungs by setting the "Extrusion End" as a parameter. This should make the ladder able to have different widths.

How do you change the width of the ladder and have the steps follow!!!

You didn't show a flex for the Rung Width... does this work aswell? I'm creating a similar family using the same concepts as you show but when I flex the 'Rung width' parameter each rung cumulatively skews to one side...:(

Hi is there any solution if say the rung required is less than 2? May not be applied to a ladder in this case, maybe a paneled wall.

Please tell me how can I re size components dimension in project just by stretching instead of putting parameter manually

If I wanted to drag say both the top and bottom of the ladder how would I do that? I Have a shelf where only one side is moving however the other stays locked in place.
