I met a Scandinavian girl in France on holiday in 1972. We kept in touch by post after we'd returned to our respective countries during which period I sent her a 5" reel-to-reel tape which included a recording of this song. I told her to listen to the words. I was hoping she'd pick up on the line "You see it's all clear, you were meant to be here - from the beginning...". Well, as it turned out, I was meant to be there. We married in 1979 and I've lived in Sweden ever since.

Brings me back to 72. Smoking some reefer, slapping on the head phones, lying down after shutting off all the lights late at night. Youth. Its just too fleeting. I'm 68 now. Who knows where the time goes.

I was 21 when this Album was released. IF YOU NEVER LIVED this ERA, you will NEVER embrace or understand how GREAT such music was. An ERA of PURITY and innocence, LIFE and a TIME never to be seen, heard or experienced again.

A transcendental moment in time. At 69 years of age, I listen to this work frequently. Its beauty, clarity and purity are whispering “everything is never ending.”

This band filled an important niche in my teenage years. Working on my 1956 TR3 (Triumph) sports car in my garage, 16 years old, full of hope, full of dreams, full of fears. Smoking grass and trying to discover who I was and why I was. Youth passes us by well before we have a chance to look up and discover the preciousness of those moments. Beautiful song that I will always cherish. I never over-played it, choosing to savor it, like a delicate Cabernet.

Best use of the moog synthesizer ever. This song is entrancing, mysterious and beautiful. Seems as if the music emanates from another time...almost mystical. Anything that stirs the soul this much is pure genius.

As a teenager in the 70’s this band crossed my radar and blew my mind. I couldn’t wrap my head around how three musicians could put together such amazing and perfect songs. What a time it was. ELP is the best of the best. Thank you for sharing your talents and your music with us all. Long live this beautiful sound.

Sick shit and absolute proof that 1965 to 1975 produced the best music that everyone else wants to copy but still can't. From Led Zep to Carole King, you can't touch this...
