After MONTHS of trying...I finally have this down! The trick is to let the ends of your hair come out of the side of the clip. I kept trying to have it come out of the bottom or twist the extra back into the clip (long hair). I'm sooo happy I finally figured it out!

I'm very happy that I found another way to tangle my hair and make me straggle untangling it when it's stuck on the claws of the clip. A very bright Idea to get some strand of hair cut off or get snapped... You should try it too^^
