I'd rather watch my grandparents get romantic than a WNBA game.

It's hard to take the wnba seriously when they refuse to change anything about the league to attempt making it more entertaining. I always think of the video of Breanna Stewart getting offended at Tracy McGrady's idea of lowering the rim to allow for dunks to excite the game up. Tells me they don't want to change anything, just want the benefits change would bring.

I'm here for it, but some of that $75m should be used for lowering the rims. Those are games I'd pay to attend.

If people actually went to, or watched, the games, you wouldn't need to sell equity in the league. If you can't promote enough fan interest through ESPN to keep from selling equity, you have a pretty bad product

If I was in charge of WNBA marketing, I would suggest they pour 70% of that money into marketing the game to young kids between 3 and 8. This is the demographic that is most impressionable. If you can expose them to the league, and get them to ask their parents to take them to games, and buy WNBA trading cards and other stuff like that, you'll set the league up for huge growth in popularity over the next 20 years. If you can get WNBA players to do development camps in elementary schools across the country and be all these kids' first time really being exposed to the game of basketball, you create a generation that has a higher level of respect for the league. Imagine the next generation of NBA superstars saying the first time they ever watched a basketball game was a WNBA game. I can't think of a better way to grow the league. But then again I'm just a regular guy giving his 2 cents.

I'm way to invested in this comment😂

They’re constantly worried about the “player experience”…

Fans. You need fans of your game. There are many talented female players, without a doubt. Unfortunately, there’s 25 years of proof that people just aren’t that interested.

As a basketball life-r, the games just aren’t fun. I’m sorry.

watching the WNBA is like watching 5 year olds during recess

investing $75 million into a pig does not change the fact that it is still a pig...nba has invested a lot more than that over the past couple of decades

True equality will be reached when a male owned company which loses money(10M per year) gets a 75M infusion😂

And the money comes from…. where. They can’t even get people to go to wnba games for free.
