Easy bakes for Valentine’s Day, but VEGAN🌱
• These heart-shaped strawberry cakes are stuffed with little heart-shaped chocolate cakes!
• The ultimate Valentine’s Bake for your loved ones (or yourself!)
• I found the cookie cutter at the Dollar Store.

For The Chocolate Batter

Dry Ingredients:
(1) 10 tbsp all-purpose flour (85 g), sifted
(2) 1/2 tsp baking powder
(3) 1/2 tsp baking soda
(4) 1/4 tsp salt
(5) 4 tbsp cocoa powder, sifted

Wet Ingredients:
(1) 2 tbsp neutral oil
(2) 1/2 tbsp Eggcitables mix + 1/2 tbsp water
(3) 1/2 cup plant milk + 3/4 tsp apple cider vinegar
(4) 7 tbsp brown sugar (65 g)

Instructions:
(1) Combine the dry ingredients in a large bowl.
(2) Whisk the brown sugar & milk in a small bowl. Add the wet ingredients to the larger bowl.
(3) Mix using a hand/stand mixer for a minute to combine.
(4) Empty the batter into a small sheet pan. Flatten down to 1/2 inch (if needed).
(5) Bake for 10 minutes at 350 F (or 175 C), until toothpick comes out clean.
(6) Once cooled down completely, using a heart-shaped cookie cutter, gently press down and remove the little cakes. Set aside for later.

For The Strawberry Batter

Dry Ingredients:
(1) 1 1/4 cup all-purpose flour (190), sifted
(2) 14 tbsp granulated sugar (225 g)
(3) 1 tsp baking powder
(4) 1 tsp baking soda
(5) 1/2 tsp salt

Wet Ingredients:
(1) 4 tbsp neutral oil
(2) 1 tbsp Eggcitables mix + 1 tbsp water
(3) 1 cup plant milk + 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
(4) 3 tbsp vegan strawberry syrup (or cooked & cooled strawberries)
(5) 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions:
(1) Combine the dry ingredients in a large bowl.
(2) Add the wet ingredients to the larger bowl.
(3) Mix using a hand/stand mixer for a minute to combine.
(4) Empty 2 tbsp of the batter into each heart-shaped baking mold (12 cakes).
(5) Drop in 1 or 2 little heart-shaped chocolate cakes. Push down to set in place.
(6) Add 2 more tbsp of the strawberry batter on top, filling it no more than halfway. It’s okay if the chocolate cakes move a bit.
(7) Bake for 25 to 30 minutes at 350 F (or 175 C), until a toothpick comes out clean.
(8) Let them cool down completely before popping out of the baking molds.
