I think the exterior of the Escalade is stunningly beautiful. The Lincoln to me has the edge in the interior and for that reason I have to go with the Navigreator.

Just test drove the 2023 Navigator yesterday and it is heavenly. Beautiful and luxurious in a way that makes you really feel spoiled.

I’m a Lincoln/Ford guy but the under body lighting on that Escalade is definitely a classy head turner! Both are beautifully crafted machines👏

Both are a work of art, but would take the Navigator. I think the rear storage space is sufficient for my mother in law. Love your reviews. Just subscribed .

Excellent and very exact info on both. Having Caddys previously and currently switched to Navis we have never looked back. Navis care and customer service have well exceeded GM offerings. Lincoln KNOWS you are somebody when you purchase this level and they make sure to deliver on their word. Again very good video and you both nailed it.

You nailed it perfect description for the intended audience for both vehicles. Old world luxury vs New world luxury. Cadillac has always been about new luxury Lincoln has always been about established luxury

Great review!
My wife and I were in the market for a large suv and took a look at the Escalade, Navigator and Yukon. We felt the Escalade was younger looking and aggressive and decided to place an order for the 2023 model. Hoping we’ll have it by February 😊
Keep up reviews coming!

Absolutely nailed these reviews. I really appreciate the descriptors and no they do not show prejudice each have their points. How does one describe differences and nuances? Very cool features for those who can purchase cause nowadays nobody can afford.

As a mechanical engineering project manager, I wanted to see a comparison of the diesel options, but we can compare gas models. I will break down design, performance, MPG and overall driving experience. My friend is a manger, I get to test drive these SUV's for 6 months and write a 20-page report, including foreign models I will summarize the 2o page report in about a page or two max.
. We will discuss price, performance, and MPG. As far as performance goes, HP and towing, they are pretty even. As far as design goes, I love Cadillac's grill and exterior but that does not mean Lincoln's exterior and grill is horrible. The interior winner goes to the Navigator. The information system set up goes to the Escalade, but overall Navigator's black label's interior is nicer than Escalade's platinum. The primeur leather seats and luxury rival that of a Benz.
Based on MPG estimate the gas on the Escalade is about 14-19 MPG or 17 combined, you get better MPG with the Navigator, and it saves you about $850 a year on the pump. I wrote that in the report for those who care about MPG. I think the Navigator gets about a mile more per gallon. Towing they are dead even 8500 lbs.

The stop and go action on the Navigator is better but the Escalade has better breaks. The x factor is the price. I think the base Navigator new is about $10, 000 less than the base model. The difference between the Platinum Escalade and Black label Navigator is $3000. If you do the 4 years 50% trick the black label Navigator is $100, 000 out the door, my guess is the entry level about 78, 000. We won't even go over the V series model; you are talking $150, 000.

That means you should be able to get a good used one for about $50, 000 at 60, 000 miles. THIS Is why you want Diessel not only you get better MPG, but you can also get it used and at half price. Most people can't afford $100, 000 but we can swing $50, 000. With taxes and out the door, you are talking $55, 000 for the top end model.
\
The other x factors are I like the information system of the Escalade, but the interior of the Navigator is really pure luxury, something that rivals a Merced's. You sacrifice some HP going to diesel. I believe the Lincoln has SLIGHTLY more HP 450 vs 420 on the base models, which is only 30 HP difference.

IN 2022 Cadillac and Lincoln had a refresh and the Diessel options so I would suggest wait until 2026. You can get a 2022 Black label out the door with tax and registration for probably about $55, 000 With the Platinum Escalade, you are looking at closer to 60, 000 used.

As for ESV and the L version for Lincoln, I only recommend it for LARGE FAMILIES. If you have Mom, Dad, the kids, and grandparents, go with the ESV OR L. if it is less than 5 people get the smaller version because it is more maneuverable. You also might run into street parking problems, you might not aways have handicap parking on the streets. Also, you get about a mile per gallon less on the bigger version which adds up. You are losing about 20 miles per tank. Keep in mind if you want to park it in the garage, the ESV or L will fit in a standard garage, but it will be a tight squeeze. Youa re talking 210 feet vs 214 feet, for a standard garage, you can notice the difference.

I say go with the regular Lincoln Navigator Black Label 4 years old, and enjoy it for 10 years if you wish because it is diesel, then you can get another one. My guess is the Diessel variants will give you 15-17 city and 21-23 highway. This is why I always recommend DIESSE friends. You can't go wrong with either one and they are both on EDMUNDS top 5 list. I think the Navigator is at #2, only behind the Mercedes but ahead of the BMW X&
Final verdict, get the diesel version of the regular sized black label Navigator and enjoy.

I’ve had both and have a navigator now and honestly prefer my navigator over the Cadillac. You did a great job comparing the two vehicles

I'd go with the Caddy. But the Navigator looks very stately and elegant close up, especially the front end. And the 2nd row console is a REALLY nice touch.

The Lincoln’s chime when you turn it on was performed by the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and recorded for the chime.

The Lincoln seems to catch my eye more.. Looks nice and clean in that white color and like the colors and layout of the interior more.

Nice review slick! I have both models with a 2015 Chevrolet Suburban LTZ and a Ford F150 Platinum truck. I like both vehicles because of the gasoline options and don't want the premium engines on the GM models due to the issues. If I had the money, I would probably go with the Lincoln Navigator.

I had new 83 and 87 Cadillacs. Now I have 2019 Navigator Black Label.
All terrific cars!
