Worlds Most Powerful Flashlight 4100 Lumens 'The Torch' Burning Paper

This is a short clip of "the Torch" from Wicked Lasers, a 4100 lumen hand held torch, setting a piece of paper on fire. This torch is currently being tested by Guinness World Records, and is 100 lumens brighter than the previous record holder.

Suffice to say, this thing is INSANE!!! Even through paper, the light was too bright to look at! Outside at night becomes daytime when this puppy is switched on!

Wicked Lasers create these things for fun. If they wanted something usable they would have stuck a 25w LED in it instead which would have been twice as bright and would have lasted for hours. Though that wasn't their intention, they created this thing because it could burn things because the spectacle of a flashlight starting fires is cool. It's the same philosophy they use for their laser pens which also burn things.

On aliexpress, the Chinese have just recently released a 13, 800 lumens flashlight for under 150$ that uses 12 CREE T6 LEDs! 2011, so yesterday...

Theres a difference between being hot and being bright. my cooker is hot but it doesnt give much light.

I've just got me hands on a new 85W hid torch. 8500 lumens. Seems the torch in this vid has officially been dethroned!

You can buy flash lights with 41000 lumens. I have one, it has two settings - low = 8000 lumens and high = 41000 powerful but only lasts for around 15 minutes full power :-(
Costs a bloody fortune in batteries so I would'nt recommend buying you like lamping for rabbits etc, nothing beats this torch for that ;-)

That video was a year older than this one. Your flashlight might be the most powerful consumer flashlight, if you are planning to mass distribute it (sell it to the masses).

i find it strange that nobody has a review for these lights where they are used for lighting things up not starting them on fire. that tells me that they don't do a very good job at illuminating things....you know like what a flashlight is meant to do. nevermind the 5 - 10 minute run time....useless.

Who wants or needs a flash light that is a fire hazard? You would have to hide or keep locked up so children could not find or reach. So if the light go out you can't let a child use it. Cause of house fire child playing with flash light!
