Living Water - Jonathan Ogden (Lyric Video)

Some time last year I was feeling burnt out, tired and in a sort of "spiritual dry season". I remember lying on my bed, staring out of the window, and not even knowing how to pray or what to say. In the end I decided to blast some worship music and just praise God. My thoughts turned to the prayer of Psalm 119. Turn my eyes from looking at worthless things and give me life in your ways. And a simple phrase came to mind: living water, and I remembered the story of the woman of Samaria (John 4). And how Jesus described the Living Water that he gives - salvation and eternal life. I realised that I was weary from the constant snacking at the buffet of modern culture, and the lack of feasting on the superior pleasures of God. As I began to pray and remind myself of the truth, I felt light again. I felt free again.

This song came from that place. It's a reminder to myself as well as anyone that needs to hear it, that we will always be unsatisfied until we come to the streams of life and experience all that the Lord has for us.

lately i have been struggling with putting wordly things aside, not all things are bad but just in excess. a big part of it is how much i spend on youtube and instagram, for some reason when i see your music i click on it and then its easy to put aside everything else to seek the Lord. needless to say, thank you for doing what you do.
