Seal Removed From Seal!!

Back in 2019, before Ocean Conservation Namibia was even started, Naude did many of the seal rescues by himself as a single rescuer. This particular seal was quite large for a solo rescue, but the severity of the injury motivated Naude to give it a shot.

He caught the animal with the orange net and managed to restrain her well enough to cut off the rubber seal wrapped around her neck. Rescues like this one motivated Naude to take other rescuers along and to start an organisation to deal with entanglements on a daily basis. 🦭
