HOW TO ADD PLACEHOLDER TEXT IN CONTACT FORM 7 WORDPRESS PLUGIN? Beginners Tutorial
Показать описание
In today's video tutorial you'll learn how to add and setup a placeholder text into your contact form 7 fields in a simple, fast and effective method.
Set placeholder text: Placeholder text is descriptive text that is displayed in an input field until the field is populated. It disappears when you start typing in the field. Placeholder text is heavily used in current user interfaces, so you may have seen it before. To set placeholder text in a field of a form, you simply add the placeholder option and text value to the form tag representing the field. You can use wildcard options in the following form label types: text, email, URL, tel, textarea, number, range, date, and captcha. [text your-name placeholder "Your name here"]
The placeholder text set in the form tag is output in HTML as the value of the placeholder attribute in the input field. For older browsers that don't support HTML5's placeholder attribute, Contact Form 7 also provides a JavaScript-based placeholder implementation.
Wildcard options are available in Contact Form 7 3.4 and later. Older version users can still use watermarks instead of placeholders. In Contact Form 7 3.4 and later, watermarks are treated as aliases for placeholders, so you don't need to change watermarks to placeholders when updating plugins. Once you start adding placeholders to your Contact Form 7 (CF7) forms, learning the different ways to use them will help you improve the form and ultimately the user experience.
