Zeruel must be one of the most challenging characters in any anime. That angel literally blew any restraints that we have known so far in the lore.

Can we just appreciate how badass Zeruel is for a moment. He comes out of nowhere, fucking solos Unit 2, tanks a nuke and breaks into NERV headquarters like it's nothing all while the coolest music imaginable plays.

Out of all the angels he came the closest. And it wasnt through elaborate strategies or powers like the other other angels (i love them all dont get me wrong), no Zeruel relied on brute Strength and likewise it was brute Strength, determination, and savage devotion that killed him and I LOVE IT

One of SGAISU's best from this era, it's repetitive but in a way that, rather than get annoying, builds up your excitement as every loop adds something new to the mix, until it adds up to this magnificent crescendo of the choir, the staccato string arpeggio, and and raw sense of power over chaos. I'm not religious, but this song gives me the same feel as those who are when the very Angels of Heaven are at their side, and as another commenter put it, "command your faith be stronger than any iron".

Composition wise, I love this song especially; I've always been a sucker for songs in 3/4 signature, or quantized in thirds, and yet this song does both!
Another fantastic track from EVANGELION 2.0, and another blessing from Mr. SAGISU!
