What would you do on a problem such as Tan (pi/12)? I had this one on my home work and it is stumping me. any response would be great thanks

in your tangent's formula of half measure angle... you have less square root... that must me the square root of 1-cos x/1+cos x... please reply if you think i'm correct... :)

How do you know to use the half angle formula for 105 instead of double angle (45+60)?

factor out a 1/2 from pi/12

it becomes 1/2 * pi/6 and you get work that out from there

to retain the value. having it over 2 wouldn't be allowed if it wouldn't be equal to the original angle
