Symi- Greek Island Paradise

New Amsterdam Travel Video- The Greek island of Symi is a rare place that feels like you've stepped back in time. The island has everything you'd want for a great holiday away: beautiful scenery, secluded beaches and great food. But the best part is that it isn't over-crowded or spoiled. The harbor is its main attraction with the colorful Neo-Classical houses looking down on its lapping waters. It can get busy with day trippers but not many venture too far from it and most leave in the late afternoon. The main small village is up the hill, connected to the harbor by the 500- stepped street called the Kali Strata. From there you can climb up to the castle ruins for spectacular views of the harbor and beyond. Water taxis take you to nearby beaches, where the blue-emerald water meets the high cliffs and hills. Here you can feel totally isolated in nature, but still enjoy good food and drink at the taverna. Further, take a boat tour to swim in more pristine bays or book a tour to their famous, picturesque monastery on the water. Symi is only a short ferry ride away from Rhodes- make it a day trip or better yet, stay a lot longer. #symi #greece #greekislands

It looks such a beautiful, relaxing place. Alas, I really came to watch your video about this island because Dr Michael Mosely from England, UK went missing after hiking from a beach here and I am curious to see the land and how this possibly could have occured. Nobody knows what has happened to him. Thanks for the viewing of Symi.
