Absolutely one of my favorite shows, ever — but they’re almost at the point of needing a Y2K episode. Losing two major characters, on top of everything else — is insurmountable. I’ve never been a Judd Hirsch fan, but it is surprising how well his stepped-up role has come off.

The show should’ve ended at season nine specially after they kicked off the creator of his own show on the writing team wtf.

The knives come out, so fast, don't they?

Canceling that show is a long time coming.

Show should’ve ended two seasons ago or at least last season

I love Jeff on Curb and his character is clearly missed on the show. It's tough to pivot losing an character like the "dad" on a sitcom from the 80's where a lot of the tropes they used were based on a "dad" character and his interactions. Regardless, the writers are doing their best with the current roster.

I can understand not 'being able to' talk about it due to the show still going and publicity and NDAs, etc.. But everyone (except whoever is in the wrong) benefits from knowing what happened. All I know is that this sitcom had an actor on it that made jokes people couldn't handle, so he got fired for it. So it sounds like he's in the right because people around him were too sensitive. Did he harass anybody? Did he touch anyone inappropriately? That's the narrative I've been given and led to believe. So if that's not the case, if that's not the truth, yes, it would be beneficial for the truth to be heard, or at least get the details from all sides.

But, again, maybe that's just the business talking through her and everyone can speak freely after their corporate overlords no longer control them.

This is a good start though, a nice revelation, that she is glad he was gone. Another piece of the puzzle emerges.

Abuse and bad things will continue to happen because people keep quiet about it.

He's the best character on the show. Without him, there is no show.

all the people talking as if they know the situation and it's that simple. a lot of situations like this are not cut and dry cases where you can get someone to nip it in the bud. it's ignorant and dismissive.

He was the best part of the show. Her character is annoying. Toughen up. The show should've ended when they got him fired.

From what she said it sounded like she wanted him to go and kept complaining about him to the show runners, I wonder what he did on set

Let's hope it wasn't the stupid rumour that he was offering unwanted hugs to a member of the cast because that's pathetic in the future we might be seeing people getting fired because you show affection or friendship to another person because people think it's creepy

Lots and lots of cathartic venting here amongst the replies. And a fair bit of sniper practice too. I do agree though when Wendi says no one benefits from knowing what happened.

What did Garlin actually do to get kicked off the show? must have been egregiously bad. Makes a person wonder?

No one benefits about knowing what happened.

Yeah, I say the same thing about a lot of me too stories. Ironically, this is all happening in real time and is current so people would benefit from knowing what happened unlike something that happened maybe 20 years ago that can’t be proven

Seeing Jeff Garlan in the tight undies was very disturbing

In my opinion she sounds like she is trying to keep it quiet cuz he did nothing wrong. Like I get you having PTSD but if it ruins a man's career it needs to be know so that other don't hire him and he gets a chance to defend himself

hearing Wendy say "finally someone is listening to us" makes it clear to me that Jeff had to go from that situation. I love Jeff and im happy he still had his role on Curb but Wendy clearly has a high bar and I accept her evaluation of that specific situation. still love Jeff, and unrelated to him getting booted from that show...The Goldbergs had already jumped the shark years before. After season 3~4 it had already worn out its welcome. after rehashing tired storylines it turned and made the characters parodies of themselves.

The show lost it's charm a few seasons ago. And the term PTSD here? Really? Being tired of talking about a topic/situation that you had a hand in is not ptsd, you just don't want to talk about it. And "no one benefits from talking about it?" You just don't want to talk about it and how you ousted him. Not the same thing

The show should have died along with Jeff's character, because it sucks without him.
