5:00 - I would say that any good minded small business would do more than just a simple RAID1 or RAID5 solution to protect their data. At a bare minimum they should be adhering to the 3-2-1 backup methology. 3 BACKUPS total = 2 on site on different storage mediums (maybe one on an external HDD, one on a NAS backup), and 1 OFFSITE, such as cloud storage.

Synology do great NAS boxes too that are more suited to the home, and you don't have to used enterprise level drives which push the price up. You may want to look into some of their stuff too, it may be better suited to what you're hoping to use a NAS for. This is more for small businesses, though of course if you can afford the asking price you'll be getting an extremely robust set up.
